Via AfroPunk, I read about the 50 Shades of Black Project. It is documenting through photos the complexity of skin tone and African Americans. This is a wonderful display of diversity. The word diversity has a whiff of compulsory “political correctness”, but diversity is just about having a spectrum, a range. To me, diversity is what I want to display on Cool Black People because we are not a monolith.
