BET has big things in store for viewers this upcoming TV season. The network presented its new lineup to Madison Avenue ad buyers on Thursday and we must say we’re impressed with the slate of new shows and movie specials.
Along with producing its first scripted mini series, titled ‘The Book of Negroes’ starring Cuba Gooding Jr., the station introduced six new programs. Diggy Simmons will star in ‘The Start Up,” a scripted show following an entertainment and lifestyle blogger named Blake Monroe. “Gone Gospel,” hosted by Kirk Franklin, will document a group of secular music artists making a transition into the gospel music world. “Got Game” will put a new twist on traditional dating shows as the “eligible men and women have to woo a new prospect without relying on their great looks, killer body…
