Last week, I went to a lecture at the Jepson Center for the Arts in Savannah.
The Jepson Center is the contemporary art arm of the Telfair Museums. The art lecture was about the African American artists in the museum’s permanent collection. Including folk art and fine art, there are 92 pieces of artwork by African American artists. Here are some of the artists in the collection. Many of whom I have not heard of before, so it was nice to learn something new.
